On February 20th, Sinopec's first hydrogen supply center in Southwest China, a hydrogen fuel cell hydrogen refueling project with a capacity of 000 standard cubic meters per hour, was officially put into operation in Chongqing. This project is a large hydrogen supply center for fuel cell vehicles in southwestern China. It adopts Sinopec's independent purification technology and can supply 6400 kilograms of high-purity hydrogen with a purity of 99.999% to the society every day under full load operation conditions. It can meet the hydrogen demand of 260 hydrogen fuel logistics heavy trucks. The comprehensive cost of hydrogen production can be reduced by more than 30% compared to conventional hydrogen production projects, providing basic support for the construction of the Chengdu Chongqing Hydrogen Corridor and the Western Hydrogen Valley, and helping to promote the high-quality development of China's hydrogen energy industry.

Optimize layout to achieve efficient operation of integrated application scenarios

This project is jointly constructed by Sinopec Chuanwei Chemical and Chongqing Petroleum. Previously, the hydrogen refueling application scenarios in Chongqing existed in the form of a single refueling station, using long tube trailers to transport hydrogen to the station, which was inefficient and costly. The new project integrates hydrogen purification and hydrogenation. Chuanwei Chemical has built a new hydrogen purification device in the factory area, and then transported it to the Chongqing Petroleum Changshou Economic Development Zone Comprehensive Energy Mother Station through a 500 meter pipeline. The mother station can conduct "wholesale" through filling long tube trailers, or retail to end users through hydrogen refueling stations separated by a wall, achieving an integrated application scenario of "hydrogen station vehicle".

Adopting independently developed technology is more economical and environmentally friendly

The project adopts the technology with independent intellectual property rights of Sinopec Dalian Petrochemical Research Institute, using natural gas by-product hydrogen as raw material. It has the advantages of high hydrogen purity, low comprehensive cost, low energy consumption, and low carbon emissions. It is currently one of the most advanced, economical, and environmentally friendly integrated hydrogen production and refueling projects in China. At the same time, the entire production process has achieved one click control in terms of process operations, allowing for immediate use upon production.

Provide strong resource support for the hydrogen energy market highland in the Chengdu Chongqing region

The Chongqing Petroleum Changshou Economic Development Zone Comprehensive Energy Mother Station is a hydrogen refueling mother station in Chongqing. The hydrogen supply center for fuel cell vehicles in the southwest region not only produces high-purity hydrogen to meet the hydrogen demand of at least 10 hydrogen refueling stations in Chongqing, but also radiates to the Chengdu Chongqing Expressway and Chongqing Wanzhou Expressway trunk lines, with an expected annual carbon dioxide reduction of 27000 tons.
