On October 16th, the Office of the Leading Group for the Construction of New Energy Vehicle Industry Clusters in Anhui Province, together with 12 departments including the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, issued a notice on accelerating the application of new energy vehicles in the public sector.

Accelerate the electrification of public sector vehicles with new energy sources

Urban delivery vehicles. Guide the postal, express, and logistics industries to gradually upgrade their delivery vehicles to new energy vehicles, and ensure that postal and express enterprises in the province update their motor vehicles to new energy vehicles, with a minimum proportion of 80%. Support the promotion and application of hydrogen fuel cell urban distribution vehicles.

Short haul heavy trucks. Encourage transportation companies to upgrade bulk cargo short haul heavy-duty trucks and heavy-duty trucks that provide supporting services for industrial parks and enterprises and have a transportation radius of less than 100 kilometers to rechargeable new energy vehicles or hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

Carry out demonstration applications of hydrogen energy in the public domain

Accelerate the construction of demonstration projects such as hydrogen powered buses and cold chain logistics vehicles, and promote the demonstration application of fuel cells in areas such as sanitation vehicles, public transportation, municipal vehicles, heavy trucks, hydrogen powered ships, and scenic transportation vehicles. Encourage cities with good development foundations to lead organizations in applying for national fuel cell vehicle demonstration city clusters. Accelerate the layout and construction of hydrogen refueling stations, explore the construction of "oil, gas, electricity, and hydrogen" comprehensive energy stations, and "hydrogen production hydrogenation" integrated demonstration stations.
